OBJECTIVE:
The role leverages comprehensive knowledge of clinic operations, the admissions framework, and various support programs to effectively advocate for patients and external stakeholders, including hospital discharge coordinators, referring medical professionals, and other key decision-makers regarding patient placements within designated market areas. Collaborates with Central Admissions Office personnel to streamline admissions, ensuring an exceptional experience for each patient and optimal placement in the appropriate clinic, ideally aligning with preferred treatment schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enhances clinic patient volume and improves commercial mix by delivering exceptional customer service and admission assistance to referral sources and patients.
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with referral sources, fostering strong connections with both new and existing partners to expand the referral network.
- Engages in direct outreach with patients identified for admission to promote services and facilitate the admission process.
- Coordinates the admission process for all patients referred for Dialysis Services, providing outreach to hospitals and physician offices to ensure timely admissions.
- Collaborates with relevant physicians and hospital staff to gather necessary information for outpatient placements.
- Addresses admission-related issues and challenges following established protocols to ensure prompt resolutions.
- Works alongside clinical managers to accommodate shift requests as needed.
- Demonstrates understanding of all insurance and private pay options, ensuring patients and families are informed about their benefits.
- Maintains extensive knowledge of the dialysis sector and the support services offered by clinics and within the community.
- Stays informed about local market dynamics and industry trends to swiftly respond to changes that may affect the organization and patient services.
- Conducts market assessments and develops, implements, and evaluates effective marketing strategies on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, regularly reviewing these plans with management.
- Consistently meets sales and marketing call objectives as defined by management, maintaining accurate account data and completing required reports.
- Delivers professional sales presentations to all stakeholders.
- Participates in community outreach initiatives as outlined in the marketing strategy.
- Assesses referral source satisfaction with the admissions process and dialysis services, collaborating with internal teams to implement necessary service improvements.
- Works with internal and external resources to provide renal education to new patients and referral partners as requested.
- In FMCNA-affiliated Acute Programs, develops and maintains a thorough understanding of local dialysis admissions processes, including all area providers.
- Facilitates the transition of in-patient dialysis patients to outpatient settings, coordinating with patients and discharge planners to identify suitable placements based on preferences, physician directives, and facility capacity.
- Collaborates with outpatient dialysis and hospital staff to resolve patient placement issues and address related customer service concerns.
- Aims to reduce hospital stays by intervening early in the discharge process to ensure timely discharges and minimize readmissions.
- Coordinates renal services for pre-ESRD and ESRD patients by collaborating with clinicians to provide essential services such as renal education, treatment options, vascular access information, and financial guidance.
- Adheres to the Code of Business Conduct and all relevant company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- May seek assistance from senior staff for complex issues and escalate matters to supervisors as necessary.
- Assists with various projects as directed by the immediate supervisor.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's Degree is required.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with personnel at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with outstanding customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A professional appearance is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
- Completion of and adherence to the Marketing and Business Development Functional Compliance Program.
