Internship Program Overview:


The Internship Program at Starwood Capital spans 9 weeks, aimed at selecting a cohort of driven summer interns to identify potential candidates for our Full-time Analyst Program.

Our organizational structure offers interns significant responsibilities and the exceptional chance to collaborate directly with senior management, joint venture partners, investment bankers, brokers, and commercial lenders across all real estate sectors.

Summer interns will engage in a range of specialized training sessions designed to enhance their skills and facilitate their transition into the professional landscape of Starwood and the broader investment sector.

Our mentorship-driven approach enables interns to forge enduring relationships that will support their ongoing career development.


Key Responsibilities:
Starwood is in search of an intern with a solid understanding of technology and real estate to contribute to our Proptech division.

In this capacity, you will concentrate on making strategic investments in Proptech firms that offer innovative solutions capable of generating value and improving operational efficiency across the Starwood platform.

The intern will play a vital role in advancing Starwood's expanding Proptech initiative and will gain exposure across the firm's various business lines.

  • Assisting in the structuring, pricing, and negotiation of investment transactions while presenting investment recommendations.
  • Preparing financial models and materials for internal investment committees.
  • Monitoring portfolio company investments and providing strategic support to their management teams.
  • Evaluating Proptech firms that align well with Starwood's existing portfolio.
  • Strengthening current business relationships and cultivating new connections within the Proptech ecosystem.

Qualifications:
We seek candidates who are passionate about the intersection of real estate and technology, particularly the potential of Proptech to transform real estate assets and operations for the future.

Applicants should possess:

  • Experience in analytically intensive roles within venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
