Fabric Production Specialist

We are seeking a Production Coordinator to assist our fabric and import procurement team. This position demands a meticulous attention to detail, strong negotiation capabilities, and a solid grasp of the textile and apparel sector.

The perfect candidate will be exceptionally organized, solution-oriented, and an adept problem-solver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Design and Sales teams to identify fabric specifications and sourcing requirements for forthcoming collections.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous conditions and competitive rates.
  • Facilitate domestic production cuts as necessary.
  • Oversee inventory levels and manage reordering processes to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce out-of-stock occurrences.
  • Perform quality checks on incoming materials to verify compliance with our standards and specifications.
  • Generate production documentation such as purchase orders and cut tickets.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the fabric library and inventory.
  • Measure and evaluate garments for quality assurance; cross-check against established standards.
  • Manage send-outs, maintaining regular communication with vendors and following up as needed for information on production and fit samples, including but not limited to elastic shirring, eyelets, tie dye, garment dye & wash, and welt pockets.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret market data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with purchasing software or ERP systems is advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for fashion and a thorough understanding of industry trends and consumer preferences.
