- Cutting and Fabrication: Set up and calibrate cutting machines to achieve accurate and clean cuts on various sheet metal materials.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for adherence to design specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish.
- Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of punching and cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Material Handling: Load and unload sheet metal materials onto machines, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues that arise.
- Technical Skills: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine the correct punching and cutting requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify the accuracy of parts.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment, and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: A background check may be required for this position.
- Competitive Pay: $17.28 per hour.
