The Opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a part-time Pastry Cook 3 to enhance our culinary team at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be tasked with crafting fresh, high-quality pastry items and curating imaginative menus that delight our guests. Compensation

Pay Rate: $21.00 / hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to assess menus and guest orders to determine daily food preparation needs.
  • Adhere to portion sizes, quality standards, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures, ensure correct food storage, and uphold the freshness and quality of all menu items.
  • Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and adequately stocked, ensuring the kitchen and storage areas are sanitary.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry role.
  • Ability to read and understand prep sheets and recipes, along with basic math skills for recipe measurements.
  • Culinary School or Pastry Education is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to remain standing throughout the shift while walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, blending, whipping, and handling various food items.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures.
Shift Details

Day shifts, evening shifts, holiday shifts, evenings as needed, weekends, and event-based scheduling.
