Overview

Bern's Steak House is seeking a dedicated individual to craft exceptional pastry creations that align with the established recipes and presentation standards of our esteemed establishment. The role involves assisting in the production and upkeep of pastry and dessert inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry and bakery areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-night operations within the pastry and bakery segment of the kitchen.
  • Prepare a diverse range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, and pies, adhering to Bern's Steak House recipes.
  • Maintain superior quality across all dessert offerings.
  • Ensure proper handling and temperature control of all food items throughout the shift.
  • Decorate pastries and desserts with various icings and toppings, ensuring visually appealing presentations.
  • Evaluate the quality of raw and cooked food items to meet established standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or unsafe practices to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in all scheduled employee meetings.
