Key Responsibilities:


Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineering Technical Lead who will serve as a Subject Matter Expert to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order.

The Systems Engineering Technical Lead will collaborate closely with the SITEC 3 EOM Enterprise Deputy Program Manager to implement requirements that meet and surpass performance goals associated with the program.

This role involves providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to ensure the integrity of Network Operations (NetOps), maintain systems and network infrastructure, deliver end-user support, manage configurations, changes, licenses, and assets, conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.

The responsibilities tied to these requirements are crucial to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-users operating globally around the clock.


The Systems Engineering Technical Lead will deliver expert technical support in executing SITEC 3 EOM requirements.

Attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of secure data platforms, hardware and software environments, architecture, engineering design, development, and deployment are essential.

Significant experience in systems design and implementation, systems integration, cybersecurity, ports and protocols, as well as server and network infrastructures is required.

This role will involve overseeing testing, evaluation, inspection, and analysis of secure data implementations, system interoperability, asset and configuration integrations, systems operational impact, engineering courses of action (COAs), and service management across diverse network environments, including power, software, hardware, cybersecurity protocols, and unified communications, while ensuring the overall integration of enterprise systems.

As the technical lead, you will be tasked with planning, modeling, simulating, designing, installing, maintaining, managing, and coordinating systems solutions.

Moreover, you are expected to continuously monitor and control, manage lead-times, and oversee operational dependencies and interdependencies of performance and status across systems resources, utilizing software and hardware tools, while identifying and diagnosing complex issues affecting system performance.

As the Systems Engineering Technical Lead, it is vital to keep your technical skills current and collaborate with industry-leading vendor technology suites to identify the best solutions for the Government's requirements.

Engagement and collaboration across multi-enterprise, Component, TSOCs, and tactical platforms will be essential, providing technical guidance, operational direction, and producing mission-critical deliverables.


Primary Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with the SITEC 3 EOM Enterprise Deputy Program Manager in executing technical activities related to Systems Engineering in the EOM of the SIE.
  • Lead a dynamic, diverse technical team focused on secure Enterprise IT Operations delivery.

  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of Enterprise network operations, encompassing systems and infrastructure architecture and engineering, interface planning, software and hardware resource availability, and the creation of new applications.
  • Engineer and lead enterprise systems solutions across multiple industry-leading vendor product suites.

  • Provide dedicated, on-site support for systems engineering and implementation practices.
  • Continuously monitor operations for trends, anomalies, and performance indicators.
  • Identify industry-best-fit applications and network device support to ensure secure transport across the Enterprise, Components, and TSOCs.
  • Ensure engineering tasks and enterprise IT solutions comply with accreditation, certification, and connection standards for USSOCOM, Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces' networks and systems.
  • Provide Assessment and Authorization (A&A) support; engineer solutions to ensure they include robust network security and design; and deliver project management support services.

  • Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and coordinate frequently with associated Enterprise Divisions, Branches, and Departments.
  • Collaborate with industry, the Government, supply carriers, and technical staff on systems implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
  • Provide high-level support and technical expertise in Directory Services technology, including DNS, GPO, ADFS, DFS, Domains and Trust, Sites and Services, and Role-Based Access Control.
  • Engineer and assist in leading the enterprise virtual infrastructure and system software components.
  • Deliver high-level support and technical expertise in systems technology, including servers, applications, virtual and physical environments, and solutions integrations.
  • Establish and document baselines to measure service performance and capability across a global enterprise.
  • Advise senior government staff on industry best practices and provide policy recommendations for implementation.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 12 years of experience with a BS/BA; 10 years with an MS/MA; or 7 years with a Ph.D.

Required Qualifications:
  • A DoD Top Secret security clearance or above is mandatory for this position.
  • A Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree with 10 years of experience, or a degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field is preferred. Four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • At least 10 years of progressively complex experience in IT operations and infrastructure, including five years of specialized experience related to the assigned task.
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on technical and operational experience leading, managing, and operating at an Enterprise-wide level, demonstrating excellence in service delivery within large-scale, complex computing environments.
  • Strong technical writing skills with proven capability at the senior leadership level.
  • Experience briefing senior leadership and achieving performance-driven outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high-level capability in technical and operational service management.
  • DoDD M IAT Level III certification AND any two of the following certifications:

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
