Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management, resource allocation, and team leadership while delivering expert guidance in geotechnical engineering across various projects.
  • Lead geotechnical design, investigation, and analysis for a wide range of infrastructure projects, including but not limited to residential and commercial buildings, bridges, highways, railways, and airports.
  • Direct subsurface explorations, laboratory testing, and data interpretation to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Supervise geotechnical design and analysis for various foundation types, earthworks, slope stability, and other essential analyses.
  • Provide geotechnical support during construction phases, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to address geotechnical concerns comprehensively.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth.
  • Contribute to business development by nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Participate actively in professional associations.

Location: Tampa, FL

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; a master's degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, focusing on design, analysis, and construction supervision.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.
  • Familiarity with local engineering practices is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and related fields.
  • Experience in overseeing foundation and pavement construction.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software.
  • Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and IBC standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing geotechnical projects and teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check for access to various facilities.
