In light of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a Vice President of Marketing at Wake Research. This position is remote, with occasional travel required for leadership meetings (approximately 5-8%).

Role Mission:

The primary mission of this role is to deliver the marketing vision, strategy, and leadership necessary for M3 Wake Research to become the preferred research site network for patients, partners, and study sponsors/CRO stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement marketing, promotional, and communication strategies that enhance lead generation and participant enrollment in research studies, while boosting brand visibility among patients, study sponsors/CROs, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the marketing budget and assess marketing initiatives using ROI, productivity, and performance metrics to accurately measure and optimize marketing's contribution to revenue.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals responsible for executing a variety of digital, social media, content, search engine, brand management, community outreach, and traditional marketing initiatives.
  • Possess a strong understanding of marketing data and analytics, from data collection to organization and visualization, to track performance and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Manage relationships with marketing vendors, defining special projects, ensuring deliverables are met, and providing status updates.
  • Expand the proprietary participant database and develop a participant lifecycle program.
  • Support internal and external corporate communications as necessary, along with managing public relations efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant B2C marketing experience is required, with a progressive increase in responsibility (experience in clinical research, pharma/CRO, or healthcare is highly advantageous).
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position managing marketing professionals is required.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to provide unique value and innovative solutions to existing challenges, while managing daily tactical operations.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills, with a proven ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in personnel and team management skills, including training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Capable of facilitating collaboration across various functions, departments, and levels, serving as a role model for teamwork.
  • Robust analytics experience and skill set, with the ability to synthesize complex data from multiple sources to derive actionable insights and communicate trends effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in goal setting, tracking, and reporting, with the ability to quickly analyze complex data to anticipate and respond to necessary promotional adjustments.
  • Familiarity with Marketing Automation tools is a plus.
