Director of Pharmacy Sales and Business Development

Smith Drug Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Pharmacy Sales and Business Development to drive sales growth within the pharmacy supplies channel. As a leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, leading a dedicated sales team, and building strong relationships with key pharmacy decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Sales Plans: Create and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Lead and Mentor a High-Performing Sales Team: Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment, providing guidance and support to ensure team success.
  • Identify and Qualify New Pharmacy Leads: Utilize market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and convert them into loyal customers.
  • Build Strong Relationships with Key Decision-Makers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key pharmacy decision-makers to ensure long-term business success.
  • Manage Customer Expectations: Ensure exceptional customer service and manage customer expectations to drive loyalty and retention.
  • Analyze Market Trends and Competitor Activity: Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Expand Strategic Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to lower costs and expand offerings.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Track and Report on Sales Performance Metrics: Analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and provide insights for continuous growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Required
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Sales Management: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing revenue.
  • Strong Leadership and Coaching Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve sales goals.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to think strategically and act independently to drive business growth.
  • Ability to Work Effectively within a Structured Environment: Ability to balance individual initiative with team and company goals.
