Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage premium collections and customer account activities.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, recommending improvements to prevent future issues.
  • Administer the policyholder refund process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of refunds.
  • Support administrative tasks related to cash processing and billing for policyholders.
  • Prepare and finalize daily cash receipts, ensuring prompt deposit of payments.
  • Coordinate daily bank deposits, ensuring timely processing of checks.
  • Accurately record and enter payments into the billing system.
  • Review and validate all necessary documentation for preparing payments and bills.
  • Assist in reconciling bills and maintaining balanced accounts by tracking payment and transaction records.
  • Address billing-related inquiries from insured clients and producers.
  • Support the reconciliation of premium and commission distributions.
Qualifications:
Education:
An Associate's Degree (AA/AS) in accounting, business management, or finance is preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience in general accounting or billing, particularly in customer-facing roles, is preferred. Experience in the insurance industry and relevant designations are advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for effective work management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on analyzing complex issues and identifying root causes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and responding to inquiries.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating flexibility.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with an ability to interpret and respond to client needs effectively.
  • Strong numerical proficiency and accuracy in calculations.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $35,900 and $57,300, with potential variations based on factors such as role complexity, location, and candidate qualifications.
