Director of Business Development, Mil-Aero

Aitech Defense Systems is seeking a seasoned business development professional to lead our Mil-Aero business growth initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships, expanding our market presence in aerospace and defense, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase revenue and market share in the Mil-Aero sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including defense primes, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including RFI/RFP responses and proposal development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
- Manage a team of business development professionals to achieve business growth objectives.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Deep understanding of the Mil-Aero market and its key players.
- Proven track record of identifying and closing large-scale business opportunities in the defense industry.
- BS degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Current or recent TS or Secret clearance.
- Experience working with government agencies, including the US Army, US Air Force, and MDA.
- Strong understanding of export control and ITAR regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
