Educational Inclusion Facilitator

Melbourne, Florida, United States Schools (Government) Full time

Position Overview

This role requires a commitment of four hours daily, Monday through Friday. The individual will perform and/or oversee tasks that align with established guidelines, accepted practices, and institutional policies. Responsibilities may include the oversight and coordination of other educational support personnel within the designated work area or educational program. Such oversight will primarily focus on ensuring that routine tasks are executed to the required standards. Identifying training needs and contributing to the development of educational support staff is a key aspect of this role.
Specialized assistance aimed at achieving specific educational outcomes is a hallmark of this position. Typically, this involves accountability for a singular function, such as maintaining accurate data records, or managing the daily operations of an educational office under the guidance of a principal or senior manager.
The role extends support to educators and students beyond the basic assistance provided at Level 1, Range 1 of educational support. Within the educational framework, the individual will aid teachers in coordinating support functions, which may include directing and organizing the efforts of other support staff or fulfilling a specialized support role.
The position may also involve performing medical intervention tasks or other specialized support roles that necessitate specific training, which must be periodically updated. This role is designed for a specific purpose, entailing direct accountability, as opposed to general support roles performed by various staff members.
Technical tasks requiring a solid understanding of fundamental technical and/or scientific principles are also part of the responsibilities. This includes developing and adapting work methods and making informed judgments within established guidelines. Typical examples include routine technical support in libraries, science labs, and information technology settings.
An educational support position is intended to enhance the educational services provided to students and does not encompass teaching duties as defined by relevant educational legislation. Supervision of students is not a requirement unless it is an integral part of the position or involves overseeing students in controlled settings, where the responsibility remains with a teacher.
