Key Responsibilities

The duties associated with this role include:

  • Instructing diverse class groups composed of students with varying ages and abilities.
  • Contributing to the design, implementation, and assessment of an integrated curriculum.
  • Leading 'circle time' sessions at the beginning and end of each class.
  • Engaging in collaborative practices, professional development, instructional coaching, staff meetings, excursions, and elective programs.
  • Partnering with student wellbeing staff in every class to maintain a holistic educational approach.
  • Developing curriculum tailored for students across all levels of the VCE - Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate, including those with significant educational gaps.
  • Creating Individual Learning Plans to support student progress and deliver targeted programs for learners with specific needs, including those requiring extension.
  • Performing additional non-teaching supervisory responsibilities as directed by school leadership.

Collaborating with other staff members to deliver classes and programs that reflect and incorporate the cultural backgrounds of students is a vital aspect of this role.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be currently registered or eligible for registration with the relevant teaching authority and possess qualifications or demonstrated experience in the specified curriculum areas.
