Role Overview

An Educational Facilitator at a government school is tasked with crafting and implementing a comprehensive educational framework for students that aligns with the strategic goals of the institution and the Department of Education.

This position necessitates the selected candidate to possess relevant teaching experience in VCE English (including English, Literature, English Language, and/or EAL), as they may be required to instruct Year 12 English classes. Additionally, the role involves teaching English and Humanities for Years 7-10, with the potential to teach VCE Humanities based on the candidate's qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Educational Facilitator may encompass, but are not limited to:

- Direct instruction of both individual and group students;

- Contributing to the design, execution, and assessment of a specific curriculum area or educational program within the institution;

- Fostering a calm and positive atmosphere conducive to student learning, in accordance with the school's policies on student well-being and engagement;

- Evaluating the educational progress of students, maintaining detailed records, and providing feedback to parents/guardians;

- Actively participating in the school's professional development initiatives, including professional learning communities (PLC);

- Performing additional teaching-related and organizational duties as directed by the School Principal;

- Engaging in activities such as parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, camps, and excursions;

- Carrying out other non-teaching supervisory responsibilities.
