POSITION OVERVIEW

The Operations Executive will strategize, direct, coordinate, and supervise all sales and operational functions at the designated location, ensuring the development and execution of effective operational systems and cost-efficient practices to fulfill the present and future demands of the organization. This role also involves crafting and implementing the comprehensive sales strategy while collaborating closely with the Executive Team and Senior Vice Presidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Comprehensive Operations Oversight: Managing all facets of the beverage distribution enterprise's operations, including procurement, inventory oversight, warehousing, logistics, and delivery processes.

2. Strategic Development: Engaging in strategic planning alongside the Executive Team and Senior Vice Presidents to formulate and implement strategic objectives that align with the overarching business goals.

3. Revenue and Sales Enhancement: Formulating and executing sales initiatives aimed at boosting revenue and expanding market presence, which includes pinpointing new business prospects and nurturing relationships with key clientele.

4. Leadership and Team Management: Leading and managing a team of personnel, including sales and operations managers, and administrative staff, providing mentorship, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and employee satisfaction.

5. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborating with the Supply Chain Department to guarantee the efficiency of the supply chain operations, from sourcing and procurement to inventory management and order fulfillment, ensuring timely and effective product delivery to clients.

6. Client Relationship Management: Establishing and nurturing robust relationships with key clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and resolving any issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

7. Financial Oversight: Monitoring and managing the financial performance of the organization, including budgeting, cost management, and profitability analysis, to meet financial objectives and maximize profitability.

8. Compliance and Training: Ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety protocols and licensing requirements; overseeing the completion of job and safety training for all team members.

9. Performance Evaluation: Creating and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and track operational performance, analyzing data to identify improvement areas and enacting necessary changes.

10. Market Research: Conducting market research and analysis to discern market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences, utilizing insights to guide business decisions and develop targeted marketing strategies.

11. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Staying informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, driving initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency, customer service, and overall business performance.

12. Willingly undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the strategic, operational, and financial goals of Gulf Distributing Holdings, LLC.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directing recruitment and training processes for management-level personnel at the location.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the location.
  • Providing timely and constructive performance feedback.
  • Managing employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policies.
  • Utilizing strengths-based supervision to help each supervised individual recognize their strengths and weaknesses and apply their strengths in daily tasks.
  • Ensuring opportunities for personal and professional development for each supervised employee.
  • Establishing clear expectations for all supervised staff.
  • Modeling adherence to Gulf Distributing Holdings, LLC's Mission and Values and holding staff accountable for understanding and practicing these values.
  • Conducting regular coaching sessions for supervised staff and completing annual performance evaluations on schedule.
  • Providing direct supervision to Sales Managers and Operations Managers at the location, and indirect supervision of Warehouse Managers, Delivery Managers, and other sales and operations personnel at the location, as assigned.

TECHNOLOGY USAGE

1. Proficiently utilizing office equipment (copiers, fax machines, scanners), personal computers, and Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Explorer.

Efficiently using operations management software, including VIP.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.

2. At least 10 years of industry-related experience, including three years in upper management, is required.

3. Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with transportation management software; prior use of VIP or similar software is essential.

4. Highly organized and detail-oriented.

5. Access to reliable transportation; if driving for company business, must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screening.

6. Proven ability to:

• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including other professionals in the community.

• Function effectively as a member of the leadership team.

• Communicate effectively with various internal and external audiences in person and through electronic media.

• Manage time and work efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Frequently (50%+ of the time) required to walk and communicate effectively.

2. Occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

3. Frequently (50%+ of the time) lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds.

4. Frequently (50%+ of the time) specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

5. Occasionally (less than 25% of the time) exposed to moving mechanical equipment and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet.

6. Frequently (more than 50% of the time) traveling throughout Gulf Distributing Holdings, LLC sites.

7. Occasional (less than 25% of the time) weekend and/or overtime work, primarily during start-up phases or when onboarding new business.
