Job Title: Clinical Operations Program Manager at University of Virginia Health System

The Clinical Operations Program Manager is tasked with overseeing the effectiveness, compliance, and reporting of clinical programs. This role serves as a crucial clinical resource, facilitating collaboration among various professionals to support program goals with a focus on quality, safety, accessibility, patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Clinical Resource Management:
  • Acts as a primary clinical resource for teams and leadership.
  • Coordinates the creation of vital practice resources, effectively utilizing interprofessional governance frameworks.
  • Maintains an extensive understanding of current evidence and best practices in the healthcare sector.
Quality Monitoring and Analysis:
  • Engages in precise data collection for clinical programs.
  • Evaluates data to identify trends and ensure objectives are met.
  • Communicates outcomes/data in various formats.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates risks.
Quality Assurance and Improvement Initiatives:
  • Leads initiatives focused on quality measurement and enhancement.
  • Utilizes Lean methodologies and a variety of quality improvement tools.
  • Participates in quality improvement projects.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Partners with senior leadership on strategic objectives.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to comprehend workflows and resource allocation.
  • Engages in pertinent research initiatives.
  • Acts as a liaison with external and credentialing organizations.
  • Coordinates regulatory inspections.
  • Collaborates on process enhancement projects.
  • Participates in specialized initiatives.

Compensation Range: $71,000 - $115,190.40 Annual

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master's degree within four years.
  • Experience: Three years of progressive clinical nursing experience.
  • Licensure: Must hold a registered nurse license in Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary, involving extensive computer use and occasional travel. Strong communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to lift weights.
