We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Manager to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing our clinical research programs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical research strategies and plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical research programs, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with departmental leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures related to clinical research.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and University policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to advance clinical research initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to research staff on clinical research protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the integrity and validity of clinical research data.
- Develop and manage clinical research budgets, including forecasting, planning, and reporting.
- Prepare and submit reports to departmental leadership and stakeholders on clinical research activities and outcomes.
- At least six years of progressively responsible clinical research experience, including clinical trials budgeting, portfolio oversight, and staff management.
- Preference will be given to candidates with 10 years of oncology experience and knowledge of University IRB policies and procedures.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field, such as public health, health administration, or a related field.
- Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification required.
- Experience working in a university or academic setting.
- Knowledge of clinical research regulations and guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies.
- Experience with clinical trial management software and other research-related tools and technologies.
