Strategic Sales and Account Development Manager

Join Elevance Health as a Strategic Sales and Account Advisor, where you will play a critical role in acquiring new business, retaining and growing existing accounts, and overseeing daily operational activities.
About the Role:This is a dynamic position that requires a strong understanding of sales strategies, account management, and customer service. As a Strategic Sales and Account Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing overall strategies for acquiring new business and renewing existing accounts.
- Achieving sales targets for new business through brokers and/or directly with clients.
- Managing the annual renewal process for current accounts, driving opportunities for additional growth and product sales, and coordinating with internal partners as required.
- Ensuring accounts receive excellent customer service.
- Cultivating trust-based relationships and developing comprehensive understandings of client needs and priorities.
- Acting as a consultative collaborative partner with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers.
- Continuously updating knowledge in a rapidly changing environment.
- Providing sales and retention knowledge to large groups and seeking guidance when needed from leadership and/or team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
- A sales license and appointment required upon hire or obtained and appointed within sixty (60) days of hire.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience with office tools, cloud-based software, social media, and collaboration tools.
- The ability to learn and become familiar with the industry and product at the local, state, and federal level.
- Large Group insurance experience.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
