About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior National Sales Manager to join our team at Core & Main. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our largest national accounts, driving sales growth, and developing business plans to increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Development: Research and develop large account opportunities, effectively communicate competitive strengths, and develop strategies to acquire new business.
  • Business Planning: Develop and execute profitable business plans for managing accounts, teaming with sales and corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain working relationships with the largest national accounts, strategically planning customer visits to cultivate relationships, perform presentations, and communicate plans.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and manage relationships with outside vendors and consultants.
  • Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor new staff members to increase assimilation to Core & Main.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline, with 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience: Experience with Miller Heiman's Strategic Selling and Large Account Management Process concepts, as well as experience managing national accounts in a supply chain environment.
  • Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze and investigate solutions.
