The purpose of this role is to drive profitable sales growth of Michael Foods' product portfolio to key customers. This position will be responsible for managing and performing our private brands and national brands' business for specific accounts. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategies to grow top-line and bottom-line growth for Michael Foods' product segments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage broker teams to achieve sales goals.
  • Proactively manage up to improve business procedures and recommend process improvements.
  • Understand and utilize customer profit and loss (P&L) data to inform sales strategies.
  • Develop strategic national accounts and retail sales plans with a focus on revenue growth and market share gain.
  • Achieve profitable sales growth targets by winning new business and maintaining current sales.
  • Develop strategic business partnerships with key customers, prospects, and consultant accounts.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the sales function at assigned accounts.
  • Proactively identify and analyze market opportunities and issues, leveraging market research data to develop effective action plans.
  • Sell-in new product offerings and company initiatives to key customers.
  • Develop customer-specific promotional plans and execute aligned recommendations.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems quickly.
  • Penetrate key decision-makers to understand account goals and strategies, and collaborate to build their business.
  • Partner with customers to accurately forecast existing and new business.
  • Collaborate with customers to co-create solutions, articulating the impact on their business.
  • Balance strategic and tactical business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research and development, product management, and category management to develop new products and optimize assortment.
  • Demonstrate a positive professional attitude with company and account personnel.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to promote Michael Foods' products and services.
  • Manage trade funds and travel expenses within assigned budgets to ensure spending targets are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Customer Development and the Product Management team to develop cohesive sales strategies that maximize business opportunities.
  • Track customer service issues and coordinate resolution with the appropriate individuals.
  • Manage deduction processes to maintain a ledger balance below target.
