Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital member of our Effectors Operations Quality team, which operates within a dynamic, multi-stream manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and a results-oriented mindset, driving quality standards, operational goals, and continuous enhancement in a collaborative setting.

This role is integral to our manufacturing processes, requiring adaptability in a fast-paced atmosphere where effective quality management is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture effective partnerships with production personnel, management, program leads, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure adherence to product and process standards, aligning with contractual, technical, and industry-specific quality management system requirements.
  • Conduct regular data evaluations and develop actionable metrics, including the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Lead cross-functional teams in investigating failures, conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses, and resolving non-conformance issues.
  • Oversee the identification and management of non-conforming materials, facilitating Material Review Board (MRB) activities as necessary.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of work instructions and inspection protocols, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Manage the development and execution of First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
  • Engage regularly with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies to address quality-related issues.
  • Facilitate weekly discussions aimed at minimizing quality-related costs and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection protocols and AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an ATF clearance prior to employment.
  • Possession of an active U.S. government security clearance is mandatory prior to starting the role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Expertise in a relevant technical area with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Experience leading teams in auditing processes and enhancing product quality.
  • Knowledge of Product/Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis and Advanced Product Quality Planning.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • ASQ Certifications (e.g., CQE) are advantageous.
