Position Overview:

This role is essential in ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess product and process adherence to contractual, technical, and industry standards, including AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Regularly compile and disseminate metrics related to the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Lead cross-functional teams in conducting failure analyses and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, addressing non-conformances, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Oversee the identification and management of non-conforming materials, facilitating Material Review Board (MRB) processes as necessary.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of work instructions and inspection protocols, ensuring alignment with technical data package requirements.
  • Engage with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) on a regular basis.
  • Conduct daily status meetings with factory personnel and stakeholders to manage ongoing issues effectively.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings aimed at reducing the cost of poor quality and ensuring timely resolutions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, work instructions, and process controls.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effective negotiation and collaboration.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in auditing processes and driving product improvements.
  • Knowledge of AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Certification in Six Sigma or by the American Society of Quality (ASQ).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the development of actionable metrics.
