About the Role

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, and quality management system requirements.
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and government agencies.
  • Regularly analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop actionable metrics to drive quality initiatives.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams in failure analysis, root cause and corrective action investigations, and corrective action boards.
  • Ensure the identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material, and facilitate material review boards as needed.
  • Support the development and maintenance of work instructions, test instructions, and inspection instructions to ensure compliance with technical data packages and production needs.
  • Develop and release first article inspections in accordance with industry standards.
  • Regularly interface with government agencies and internal stakeholders to manage issues and drive quality initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related quality, operations, engineering, or technical discipline.
  • Experience with interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, bill of materials, consumable materials control, and manufacturing process experience in assembly, inspection, or test.
  • Experience with quality management systems, such as AS9100 and/or ISO 9001.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in auditing processes and product/process improvements.
  • Experience with failure modes and effects analysis, regression analysis, and first article inspection requirements.
  • High computer proficiency, including skills working with Microsoft tools.
