Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Position Overview:
This role is situated within the Manufacturing Engineering division of our Global Operations Engineering team, focusing on advanced drug delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance system and equipment reliability to fulfill customer, business, and regulatory standards.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve issues related to critical production machinery to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Develop improvement strategies and requirements for capacity expansion and future production methodologies.
- Oversee the commissioning and acceptance testing of new manufacturing equipment.
- Manage the technology transfer process for new products and procedures into mass production.
- Support validation processes for new equipment and methodologies as required.
- Identify innovative production equipment for next-generation manufacturing systems.
- Advocate for the adoption of new technologies and industry-leading practices, providing top-tier technical expertise.
- Collaborate with production teams, machinery manufacturers, product development groups, and quality assurance departments on performance enhancements, troubleshooting, and critical incident responses.
- Execute additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Several years of practical experience with automated manufacturing systems and processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software; experience in designing custom components for production machinery is advantageous.
- Familiarity with problem-solving techniques and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Self-motivated individual with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong intercultural and interdisciplinary communication abilities.
- Experience or knowledge in metal processing/forming and/or vacuum thermoforming is preferred.
- Background in a highly regulated sector (e.g., medical, pharmaceutical) and understanding of relevant standards (e.g., ISO13485, cGMP) is beneficial.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical and/or pneumatic systems is desirable.
