This position is integral in managing technical inquiries related to product demand and collaborating with fellow engineers to enhance product development and optimize manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities:
Issue Resolution:

Act swiftly to analyze data and determine the root cause of production issues. Develop solutions or collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions while providing regular updates. Design and create programs for machining equipment to execute complex machining operations that meet stringent tolerance and finish specifications. Ensure compliance with production methods and quality standards.


Product Development:

Engage in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from design to testing. Create tools to automate essential processes and facilitate customer inquiries. Recommend tooling applications and operational sequences to enhance programming for unique machining requirements. Identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements, and support the integration of new machinery into full-scale production.


Staff Training:

Interact with team members and product users through various communication channels to address concerns and maintain a supportive environment. Train operators on machine setup and processes to foster independence. Promote initiatives aimed at enhancing operator skill levels and identify bottlenecks in processes to devise effective solutions.


Technical Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive documentation detailing product issues, including observations, diagnoses, and action steps. Generate weekly reports summarizing production performance, release notes for upgrades, and troubleshooting guides.


Communication with Management:

Regularly update senior management on progress, challenges, results, and suggestions for improvement, ensuring transparency and collaboration.


Team Collaboration:

Support team efforts by covering for colleagues as needed and assisting in the onboarding of new staff. Adhere to internal policies and effectively communicate relevant information to team members and management.


Professional Development:

Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve job-related skills. Actively seek feedback from peers and supervisors to enhance performance and recommend improvements to departmental processes.


Safety Commitment:

Contribute to a safe working environment by promptly reporting unsafe conditions, adhering to safety guidelines, and maintaining equipment properly.


Qualifications:

A four-year degree is preferred, or 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with experience in CNC grinding equipment are strongly preferred.

Ability to comprehend company policies, safety guidelines, and general business documentation. Proficiency in verbal communication is essential.

Mathematical skills to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts are required.

Reasoning skills to execute detailed instructions and problem-solve effectively are necessary.

Experience in the cutting tools or similar manufacturing industries is desired. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical data is essential.
