Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and an employee handbook from the ground up. This role will oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compensation plans. The HR Manager will manage employee relations, facilitate a culture shift from a labor-intensive environment to a more professional one, and lead the hiring and terminations process. Additionally, this role will implement training and development programs to recruit and train employees while enhancing their skillsets and engagement. The HR Manager will also manage workers' compensation claims and ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and an employee handbook
  • Establish and oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compensation plans
  • Manage employee relations and facilitate a culture shift
  • Lead the hiring and terminations process
  • Implement training and development programs
  • Manage workers' compensation claims
  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate restaurant/retail industry
  • Proven experience managing an hourly workforce and a professional workforce
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, HR processes, compliance, and labor laws
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment
