Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive, high-quality, and timely human resources support to the HR Director and staff within the Texas Institute for Electronics.
  • Support high-volume technical recruiting, including developing position descriptions, creating job postings, and sourcing applicants.
  • Coordinate hires, manage onboarding for new employees, facilitate small group orientation sessions, and provide support to new employees to ensure a positive transition.
  • Process and maintain various employee assignments, ensuring compliance with university policy.
  • Work with TIE management to coordinate employee compensation changes and coordinate employee separations.
  • Assist staff with understanding proper timekeeping practices, manage access to electronic time sheets, and work with staff and supervisors to make adjustments to leave balances as needed.
  • Monitor timekeeping reports to ensure staff time sheets are completed in a timely manner and send reminder notices to staff as needed.
  • Process payments, including relocation payments and recurring overtime payments to non-exempt staff.
  • Compile and disseminate various reports to management, including hiring and compensation data as well as recruiting data.
  • Help coordinate training programs, including compliance training and workplace safety training. Responsible for special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate workplace injury reports as needed.
  • Provide backup support to other team members and perform other related duties as assigned.
