Join the City and County of San Francisco's Finance and Administration Division as a Business Applications Manager. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead a team of techno-functional business system analysts and external consultants in providing comprehensive production maintenance and support of the Port's various systems and business applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize, direct, and supervise the work of a small team of techno-functional, senior level, business system analysts and external consultants.
- Collaborate with the team on escalated issues technically complex in nature to bring about resolution.
- Lead technology projects and formulate strategies for business applications development and integration with other applications.
- Serve as a liaison between Port staff and applications, facilitating effective communication to define project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in the planning of resources, budgets, and project timelines.
- Oversee the further development of, and promote the usage of, collaborative and document management tools like SharePoint.
- Monitor system alerts, and work with the Port IT Infrastructure team, consultants, and vendors to resolve system-related issues affecting application uptime.
- Implement and upgrade system hardware and application software as needed.
- Ensure that the organization adheres to IT best practices, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- An associate degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units.
- Seven (7) years of experience in system administration, information systems development, maintenance and support, or information technology project management, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Possession of a valid California driver's license (to be presented at time of appointment).
- 5+ years of experience in application maintenance and support, information technology project management, to include two (2) years of supervisory experience, and possess a deep understanding of technology and its application to drive business objectives.
- Oracle eBusiness Suite (11i or R12) ERP System, preferably in the areas of supply chain management, procurement, payroll, timekeeping, and reporting.
- PeopleSoft (supply chain management, financials, payroll, timekeeping, and reporting).
- Database Management (Oracle, Microsoft Dataverse).
- Interfaces.
The City and County of San Francisco offers a competitive salary range of $159,692 - $200,850 Annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
