Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team at DDC as a Server II. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. Under the guidance of the Venue Manager, you will ensure a welcoming atmosphere and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, addressing any inquiries regarding food and beverage options.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of various food items, spirits, wines, and cocktails.
  • Execute tray service efficiently, managing both large and small trays.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of buffet lines and dining areas.
  • Prepare silverware and glassware for service, ensuring everything is polished and ready for use.
  • Attend to guest needs promptly, maintaining a thorough knowledge of the service sequence.
  • Keep work areas tidy and assist in food running duties as required.
  • Process guest bills accurately and handle payments with basic math skills.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively to enter orders with precision.
  • Restock inventory and manage product orders as needed.
  • Prepare non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for guests, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide outstanding guest service, responding to requests with a positive attitude.
  • Complete assigned side work and maintain cleanliness in all areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Adhere to all company policies and state regulations regarding alcohol service.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, particularly in front-of-house roles.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain stamina in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a lively dining and gaming atmosphere, with exposure to noise and potential second-hand smoke.
