Position Overview:

The Industrial Technical Sales Specialist will spearhead technical sales initiatives and facilitate the specification of Velcro brand products within designated B2B industry sectors to enhance revenue, profitability, and market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead application engineering and business development efforts across various sectors including construction, solar, packaging, and apparel.
  • Formulate and implement a strategic technical sales growth plan aimed at achieving substantial revenue growth.
  • Engage with customer engineering and program management decision-makers to incorporate Velcro brand products into their designs.
  • Oversee lead qualification and manage all stages of opportunity management to effectively introduce Velcro products into new applications.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and manage accounts for assigned clients.
  • Coordinate engineering and project management activities with clients throughout the design and production phases to ensure optimal quality and profitability.
  • Provide regular updates on commercial activities within the sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute technical proposals and specification activities for hook and loop fasteners and adhesive tape products in the North American industrial market.
  • Collaborate with global customer accounts alongside Velcro teams in Europe, Asia, and South America.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to support business reviews with clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in technical sales or application engineering within industrial B2B markets.
  • Experience with the specification of technical products, including cutting, sewing, laminating, sonic welding, fasteners, and adhesives is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong background in team-based projects.
  • Self-driven with the ability to collaborate closely with technical teams to create innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in data-driven, value-based selling of technical solutions in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain a high level of activity.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time.
