Position Overview
As an International Sales & Account Manager at Better Being Co., your primary focus will be on expanding new distributor partnerships while nurturing existing international accounts. In this capacity, you will formulate detailed business strategies aimed at penetrating international markets, introducing new brands, enhancing brand recognition, and increasing sales volume. This position offers you the opportunity to engage with various facets of the business and collaborate across departments to ensure the success of all assigned accounts. You will gain insights into distribution, project management, marketing, regulatory affairs, and other critical areas within Better Being Co.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate detailed business strategies to penetrate international markets, introduce new brands, enhance brand recognition, and increase sales volume.
- Implement refined sales processes to optimize profitability and minimize controllable costs.
- Assess sales performance and take necessary actions to foster sales growth.
- Engage in daily B2B communications and deliver exceptional account management to our distributors.
- Coordinate cross-departmental communications related to various account management tasks.
- Direct international product development for designated accounts.
- Stay informed about international, cultural, and legal matters affecting sales.
- Identify, assess, and propose new business opportunities.
- Establish strong and effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Occasional international travel may be required.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Engage with third-party service providers, including co-packaging and raw material vendors, freight companies, financial institutions, and other export-related agencies.
- Support and participate in company policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Bachelor's degree with 3-4 years of international business experience or a master's degree with an international business focus, preferably in the VMS or health and wellness sector.
- 1-2 years of experience in international wholesale distributor account management, ideally in the VMS or health and wellness sector.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to address and resolve practical issues and work with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting governmental regulations, technical procedures, general business publications, and professional journals.
- Capable of preparing documentation, writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- Adept at presenting information and responding to inquiries from government health agencies, customers, Territory Managers, and the public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and interpret ingredient weights on labels.
- Fluency or working proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish, French, Danish, Arabic, Romanian, Korean, or Japanese, is highly preferred.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Employees must be able to exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
