About the Role

Enerfab is seeking a skilled Industrial Piping Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for estimating the costs of industrial construction projects, with a focus on industrial mechanical piping scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project estimating efforts with all scopes, ensuring accurate and timely estimates.
  • Communicate scopes to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring clear understanding and pricing.
  • Lead mechanical and pipe estimates, collaborating with onsite field teams to develop strategies.
  • Develop and write construction execution plans, including associated indirect costs.
  • Assist field teams with change orders and document organization.
  • Attend site visits, job preconstruction meetings, and weekly estimating meetings as needed.
  • Participate in internal and executive review meetings, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct project turnover meetings with operations, ensuring smooth transitions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years of industrial pipe estimating experience, with new design/build or retrofit experience highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with engineering design documents (e.g., isometrics) and specifications.
  • Basic industry knowledge in power, oil and gas, food/beverage/agriculture, and/or water.
  • EPC or design/build experience a plus.
  • P6 scheduling knowledge a plus.
  • Estimating software knowledge (In-Eight Estimate, Hard Dollar, Accubid, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills.
Work Environment and Expectations
  • Some job duties performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances.
  • When at a work site, regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Requires consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
