Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Cost Management
    • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, considering various factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of construction costs, including material and labor costs, to ensure accurate estimates.
    • Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Project Development and Coordination
    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and manage contracts.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and project team members.
  • Estimating and Reporting
    • Prepare and present detailed estimates to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive estimating records, including quantity surveys, material takeoffs, and cost estimates.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to project teams and stakeholders on estimating progress and project status.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of estimating experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in construction estimating software, including MS Office and Excel.
    • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Working Environment

The Estimating Manager 1 will work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent interactions with project teams, clients, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
