Construction Manager

We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to join our team at PURIS Corporation, LLC. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the timely, safe, and accurate completion of infrastructure renewal projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review and understand project requirements, scope of work, specifications, and project schedules.
- Develop and implement construction management plans, including mobilization strategies and resource allocation.
- Establish clear roles and responsibilities for construction management personnel.
- Lead the implementation of project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality plans.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure project functionability and reviews plans during engineering activities.
- Develop and manage subcontracting and mobilization plans in coordination with project managers and subcontractors.
- Prepare construction schedules with detailed activities and completion dates.
- Ensure efficient mobilization of labor, materials, and equipment to achieve construction objectives.
- Lead the construction management team to ensure smooth project completion with minimal interruptions and reworks.
- Promote excellent working relationships with construction subcontractor team members.
- Ensure continuous construction work fronts availability through preparation and review of look ahead schedules, resource charts, engineering deliverables, and material delivery schedules.
- Identify and resolve project bottlenecks to ensure timely progress.
- Chair daily, weekly, and monthly internal meetings to ensure action points are addressed in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Area Director.
- Assess project Quality and HSE status with QC and HSE managers and ensure timely closure of corrective actions and non-conformances.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project compliance with all requirements.
- Ensure proper and timely handover of systems/subsystems to commissioning teams and provide assistance as required.
- Conduct continuous performance assessments of subordinates, providing feedback on their performance, strengths, and weaknesses, and guiding them on areas for improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in a field supervisory, project engineer, field engineer, or project coordinator role
- Ability to learn and provide instructions, communicate effectively, and work in a process-oriented manner
