Job Overview

HDR CONSULTING LLC DBA ENNOVARA is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in the energy and electrical sectors. We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to contribute to our innovative projects. The selected candidate will oversee engineering initiatives focused on the design, development, execution, analysis, and operation of technical systems related to Load Management, Demand Response, and Transportation Electrification programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts research and evaluates Energy Efficiency and Demand Response solutions for integration into electric utility Demand Side Management (DSM) programs.
  • Manages engineering projects, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Plans and executes field trials, demand response strategies, and data monitoring for energy consumption analysis.
  • Specifies and tests new software, hardware, and firmware solutions for applications in Demand Response, Energy Efficiency, and Transportation Electrification to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
  • Collaborates with Quantitative Analysts to ensure accurate Measurement and Verification (M&V), Forecasting, and Optimization processes.
  • Implements control systems and communication strategies from utility operations to behind-the-meter devices.
  • Provides technical support, including operational calculations, equipment specifications, and recommendations for Demand Response systems.
  • Works closely with DSM program managers to facilitate the design and implementation of initiatives in Demand Response, Energy Efficiency, and Transportation Electrification.
  • Leads project status meetings and reviews with stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with a track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders in the analysis of Demand Response and Energy Efficiency initiatives.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle charging infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Proficient in using necessary software and applications for job performance.
  • Physical capability to navigate ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
