Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Generator Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Power Plus. As a key member of our Generator Service & Maintenance Division, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing generators ranging from 5 kw to 4000kw.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain generator systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues
  • Interact with customers to provide exceptional service and support
  • Correctly document and report maintenance activities and repairs
  • Stay up-to-date with technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly with diesel generators
  • Technical schooling or equivalent experience in automotive or transportation fields, commercial, residential electric, or military experience
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call pager rotations
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes in accordance with OSHA regulations
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician a plus but not required
