Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the commissioning of critical electrical systems for a leading technology organization. This role will manage the commissioning process for power generation and distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies, automatic transfer switches, power distribution units (PDUs), and medium voltage switchgear. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of electrical power systems or relevant industry experience, coupled with strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commissioning policies, procedures, and scripts.
  • Validate the installation of electrical equipment.
  • Conduct construction observations and formulate comprehensive testing plans.
  • Execute tests across various electrical systems, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.
  • Act as the liaison among clients, contractors, and vendors throughout all commissioning phases.
  • Analyze data and generate detailed technical reports.
  • Review design documents and equipment submissions.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project team members.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical power distribution, particularly within data centers.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred; however, other engineering disciplines, two-year degrees, military training, or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • A strong ability to lead in uncertain situations, especially regarding construction and electrical operational challenges.
  • Exceptional organizational skills along with excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, motivated by deadlines, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards within the construction industry.
  • Experience in quality control of electrical construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is advantageous.
