Role Objective
The Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator plays a crucial role in crafting and executing a comprehensive student recruitment strategy to achieve enrollment targets. This position collaborates closely with school leadership to assess and enhance recruitment processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a results-oriented mindset, possess strong organizational skills, and effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant outcomes.
  • Experience in student recruitment or community engagement is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective public speaking skills, with experience addressing diverse groups.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing design tools is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Chicago Public Schools enrollment system is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze recruitment strategies to enhance enrollment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to develop and implement an annual recruitment plan.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment and enrollment metrics, addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Assist in creating effective transition and onboarding plans for new students.
  • Engage with school staff to motivate and ensure accountability in recruitment efforts.
  • Plan and participate in community events to connect with prospective families.
  • Coordinate internal enrollment events such as open houses and orientations.
  • Build partnerships with local organizations and schools to establish student pipelines.
  • Communicate effectively with prospective families throughout the enrollment process.
  • Manage enrollment-related communications with Chicago Public Schools.
  • Collaborate with family engagement stakeholders to boost recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Maintain accurate student records and manage the filing system.
  • Work with the External Affairs team to ensure consistency in recruitment marketing materials.
