Role Summary:

The Student Recruitment Specialist plays a vital role in executing recruitment and enrollment initiatives within the community, ensuring that the objectives for Distinctive Schools' campuses are successfully achieved. This position emphasizes community interaction and the promotion of our educational institutions through various strategies, including family outreach, event coordination, and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Enrollment Strategy Implementation (25%)

  • Assist the Enrollment team in executing strategic initiatives, policies, and practices to comply with local and state enrollment regulations.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders to engage students and families, fostering interest in applying to our campuses through diverse channels such as event planning, partnerships with local schools, and community organizations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to achieve enrollment goals, managing multiple projects while adhering to established timelines.
  • Maintain a library of resources for schools and families regarding enrollment processes.
  • Coordinate daily enrollment-related projects, including project planning, data tracking, and feedback compilation.
  • Facilitate collaboration with the Engagement Team through school visits and focus groups to gather insights on enrollment improvements.
  • Assist campuses in addressing family inquiries related to enrollment.
  • Design strategies aimed at student retention, including re-enrollment processes and incentives.

Community Engagement and Partnership Development (65%)

  • Actively cultivate relationships with community partners focused on youth and families to enhance interest in our schools, with measurable goals for community engagement.
  • Deliver engaging presentations at local schools, family events, and community gatherings, with quantifiable targets for outreach.
  • Serve as a representative of Distinctive Schools, maintaining a visible presence in the community.
  • Support recruitment efforts at community events and festivals, including logistical coordination.
  • Assist in planning and executing on-site open houses and family engagement activities.

Process Optimization and Data Management (10%)

  • Track and analyze recruitment and enrollment metrics, using data to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Manage backend systems to enhance recruitment efforts.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's Degree required.

Experience:

  • Commitment to the mission and vision of Distinctive Schools.
  • Belief in the potential of all students to achieve academic proficiency.
  • Previous experience in student recruitment and admissions.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based software solutions.
  • Willingness to learn new digital tools as necessary.
  • Ability to travel between schools and community organizations, with approximately 70% of time spent in the community.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting and carrying, along with some bending and kneeling. The role typically involves 50% sitting, 30% walking, and 20% standing.
