DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ENROLLMENT STRATEGIES

City Colleges of Chicago is in search of a Director of Student Enrollment Strategies. This role is pivotal in overseeing and steering the college's enrollment management initiatives, focusing on the development and execution of strategies aimed at successfully attracting, enrolling, and retaining a diverse student population. The Director will also supervise the daily operations of the Admissions and Recruitment Office, ensuring that established enrollment growth objectives are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads and supervises staff in implementing outreach initiatives and recruitment strategies to effectively promote the college's degree and certificate offerings, enhancing the interest of potential students. Manages admissions and enrollment processes, ensuring that prospective students receive the necessary guidance and information for a smooth transition from application to orientation, enrollment, and registration. Cultivates and maintains ongoing partnerships with educational institutions, businesses, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support outreach and recruitment efforts. Assigns recruitment territories and target demographics, and reviews schedules for planned outreach activities, including school visits and informational presentations. Oversees the tracking of students through the admissions process to ensure effective guidance for general and specialized admissions programs, orientation, and related enrollment activities. Implements strategies to enhance engagement through various social media platforms, focusing on increasing traffic to bolster branding and recruitment efforts. Collaborates in the development of strategies and marketing plans to expand outreach and promote programs to both domestic and international students. Produces, reviews, and monitors content for accuracy and relevance on the college's recruitment and admissions website and associated social media channels. Facilitates staff training on best practices in recruitment and admissions, supporting professional development opportunities. Establishes performance standards and objectives for staff, conducting regular meetings to assess work activities and progress. Participates in the recruitment, selection, and hiring processes for staff, as well as in disciplinary actions and recommendations for termination. Develops and implements orientation procedures and informational materials for new students, overseeing the scheduling and presentation of orientation sessions. Works collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and adapt recruitment plans and strategies based on data analysis and enrollment trends to effectively achieve enrollment targets. Plans and coordinates open house events, information sessions, campus tours, and other large-scale recruitment initiatives. Performs related duties as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in enrollment management, student affairs, or student services, ideally within a community college setting, including two years in a supervisory capacity. Proven understanding of marketing, recruitment, outreach, and effective communication techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Familiarity with college policies related to recruitment and admissions. Knowledge of the enrollment cycle and data collection and analysis. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent organizational and administrative skills. Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse environment. Capacity to exercise tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations.
