About the Role

The University of Chicago is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Student Recruitment and Admissions to join our team. As a key member of our MBA and Master enrollment team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Master program's admission process, developing annual recruiting strategies, and leading information sessions and webinars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admission Process Oversight: Direct the Master program's admission process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for applicants.
  • Recruiting Strategy Development: Develop and implement annual recruiting strategies to attract top talent from around the world.
  • Information Sessions and Webinars: Lead information sessions and webinars to counsel prospective applicants and provide them with valuable insights into our programs.
  • Application Review and Evaluation: Lead the Master program's application review committee, reviewing and evaluating applications based on defined criteria and making admissions decisions.
  • Recruiting Outreach: Plan and conduct Master/CBS recruiting outreach, including in-person and virtual opportunities, to foster early promotion of MBA and graduate school opportunities.
  • Yield Activities and Communication: Coordinate yield activities and communication to admitted Master and CBS students, ensuring a smooth transition into our programs.
  • Engagement with Undergraduate Students: Expand engagement with undergraduate students around the globe to foster early promotion of MBA and graduate school opportunities.
  • Operations and Support: Assist with operations for Booth's Master program and deferred admission pathways, including liaising with program alumni, annual programming calendar, and the annual reading process.
  • Collaboration with Admissions Marketing Team: Work closely with the admissions marketing team to meet the needs of pipeline development efforts.
  • Team Management: Manage the Assistant Director, Student Recruitment and Admissions, and provide guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
Requirements
  • Education: A college or university degree in a related field is required.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline is required.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and experience using Technolutions Slate as an application management system.
  • Preferred Competencies: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills, are essential for this role.
