POSITION DETAILS

Position Overview

The Senior Program Support Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and support for the Reactor Core Overhaul initiatives and associated product lines during the early to mid-stages of their life cycle. This includes managing low-rate initial production, full-rate production, and ensuring long-term product success and profitability. The specialist will collaborate closely with the program management team to enhance overall program effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulates and leads the execution of objectives, policies, and operational standards for assigned product lines, ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Oversees daily operations to ensure adherence to established policies and objectives, while efficiently managing internal projects and external services.
  • Assists in the development and oversight of product line budgets, ensuring financial health and accountability.
  • Stays informed of customer-related changes impacting program activities and recommends improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Represents product lines in cross-functional meetings, fostering collaborative relationships to support program goals.
  • Prioritizes resource allocation and evaluates product line requirements for hardware delivery.
  • Handles administrative tasks requiring meticulous attention to detail, contributing to strategic planning and financial assessments.
  • Provides support to sales and business development teams in evaluating business opportunities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach.

  • Familiarity with customer and industry-specific standards throughout the product life cycle.
  • Understanding of mechanical valve operations and related products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
  • Organizational skills and a team-oriented management style.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptable to various personalities.
  • Ability to establish credibility and make informed decisions while supporting organizational priorities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant project or program management experience in the Navy/Maritime sector or similar industries.
