POSITION DETAILS

Position Overview

The Senior Program Support Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and support for the Reactor Core Overhaul and its associated products during the early to mid-stages of their life cycle. This includes managing low-rate initial production, full-rate production, and ensuring the long-term viability and profitability of these products. The specialist will also collaborate closely with the program management team to enhance overall program performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulates and oversees the execution of objectives, policies, procedures, and operational standards relevant to the assigned product lines; ensures compliance with all pertinent federal and state regulations.
  • Supervises and executes daily operations for the assigned product lines, ensuring adherence to policies and achievement of objectives while efficiently managing internal projects and external services.
  • Assists in the formulation and monitoring of budgets for product lines, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
  • Stays informed about customer developments that may impact program activities; recommends and implements improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Represents product lines in interdepartmental meetings, fostering collaborative relationships to support product line success.
  • Prioritizes resource allocation and evaluates product line requirements and hardware delivery schedules.
  • Handles administrative tasks requiring meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills; supports strategic planning and financial assessments, including budget preparation and staffing forecasts.
  • Provides assistance to sales and business development teams in evaluating business opportunities and commission structures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in project or program management within the Navy/Maritime sector or a related field is preferred.
