Position Overview:

The Lead Analyst for Revenue Cycle Systems plays a crucial role in the implementation, design, development, installation, and support of revenue cycle applications utilized throughout the organization. This position serves as a resource for revenue cycle systems analysts, offering expertise in Soarian Financials and associated third-party applications, particularly in design and development decisions. The role involves regular interaction with management for budget planning, project management, status reporting, and problem resolution. The Lead Analyst is expected to demonstrate a high level of integration and deep knowledge in their area of expertise.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology or a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Medical Informatics.
  • Significant experience in a healthcare IT setting.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with ASP.NET and XML technologies.
  • Strong background in SQL, including stored procedures and database triggers on Oracle and SQL Server platforms.
  • Experience with SSIS packages, MS Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, and other reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of Information Security practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of custom or vendor-supplied software solutions
  • Develop logical frameworks for new system designs and enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to team members, consultants, and vendors as necessary.
Conduct system assessments, process analysis, and requirements gathering
  • Ensure application designs adhere to industry best practices regarding scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility.
  • Identify and document system requirements and use cases.
  • Design and oversee the development of application interfaces based on business requirements using both vendor and non-vendor tools.
Manage software installations, configurations, and customizations
  • Customize or configure software to meet specific requirements.
  • Provide expertise in the installation, configuration, and support of application systems.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Execute detailed test cases to minimize customer impact.
  • Offer post-implementation support for new or upgraded systems.
Resolve issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Provide expertise in problem identification, evaluation, and resolution.
  • Maintain project, incident, and change tracking systems.
Document systems policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Develop system documentation and procedural guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Medical Informatics.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in system development, implementation, and support for revenue cycle functions, including Patient Accounting, Patient Access, Charge Capture, or Patient Financial Services, at both functional and technical levels.
    • Alternatively, an Associate's degree with an additional two (2) years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Advanced experience with Cerner Soarian Financials, Soarian Document Management, Cerner Physician Revenue Management, ePremise, WayStar, or other Healthcare Financial Services systems.
