About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Wholesale Business Development to join our team at Waterline Marketing. As a key member of our leadership team, this individual will be responsible for driving wholesale revenue growth, leading and developing a sales team, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding our brand presence.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished food service sales executive with a strong track record of success in sales leadership roles. They must effectively influence and drive the brand with distributor, reseller, restaurants, and retail accounts in the United States and Canada. A resourceful and creative thinker who can create a cult-following amongst customers is essential in today's competitive landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships directly with key accounts and top independent distribution partners to best understand their needs and support the sales team
  • Build and secure a pipeline of new business development opportunities including accounts and programs that drive expansion
  • Develop and maintain a twelve-month rolling budget of revenue and expenses that aligns with company objectives
  • Manage sales rep structure including management of both independent and employed sales reps including working with finance on appropriate commission and compensation structure
Requirements
  • Must have B2B food service/equipment sales experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of prior experience in a similar leadership role with P&L accountability
  • Track record of delivering continuous growth within our target market in the US and Canadian market
  • Reputation for nurturing relationships with partners and distributors selling accounts of all types and sizes
  • Proven history for developing and ensuring the success of independent and/or in-house B2B sales reps
