Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? As a Senior Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing, you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial operations of our telecommunications sector. This role demands a proficient and seasoned accounting expert dedicated to maintaining the precision and reliability of financial documentation while fostering transparency and a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management

  • Oversee the capitalization process in alignment with organizational policies and accounting regulations.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, demonstrating a thorough understanding of industry standards.
  • Work in conjunction with the inventory team to perform regular physical inventory checks and address any discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS and company guidelines concerning depreciation methods and schedules.
  • Analyze and provide insights on variances related to fixed assets.
  • Comprehend Lease Accounting (ASC842) and prepare ad hoc amortization schedules as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and respond to inquiries from auditors regarding fixed assets.
  • Support the Corporate Controller with the Al Volume Tax budget and associated audits.

Project Oversight

  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor and manage capital projects effectively.
  • Ensure timely capitalization of completed projects and accurate documentation of project expenditures.
  • Deliver financial insights and support for decision-making related to capital expenditures.

General Accounting Duties

  • Guarantee the accurate and prompt recording of all financial transactions.
  • Familiarize yourself with ASC606 and make journal entries accordingly.
  • Reconcile assigned accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
  • Analyze Days Outstanding Sales (DOS) and Days Payable Sales (DPS).
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge to junior accounting personnel.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on accounting principles and practices, offering insights and recommendations to support business initiatives.

Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Assist the Corporate Controller in developing and implementing robust internal controls.
  • Ensure that purchase order processes and disbursements comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred; CPA certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Staff Accountant role.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or FTTH industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of the organization.
