Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Record daily cash transactions to ensure accurate allocations and intercompany entries.
  • Prepare month-end closing entries, including accruals, amortization, and shared expense allocations.
  • Conduct intercompany analyses and reconciliations.
  • Perform flux analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger balances with general ledger accounts.
  • Review trial balances for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Maintain adherence to established internal control frameworks and best practices.
  • Develop recommendations for optimizing accounting systems and procedures to identify inaccuracies.

Qualifications Required for the Senior Accountant Role:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is essential.
  • Relevant Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience is preferred, particularly in Public Accounting Audit.
