Position Overview:
This role is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS, while also supporting external audits and periodic reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial statements and related analyses, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reports; present financial statements and variance analyses to management.
  • Consolidation and Eliminations: Prepare monthly consolidation and elimination entries to guarantee the accuracy of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and disclosure forms within the Group Reporting System.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with wholly owned operations and incorporate results from partially owned subsidiaries.
  • Monthly Close Activities: Engage in monthly book balancing and account reconciliations; prepare specific journal entries and present monthly financial statements.
  • System Integration: Lead the evaluation and integration of optimal systems and processes, including reviewing system needs and recommending software solutions.
  • Custom Reporting Support: Assist in the interface and mapping of databases between accounting ERP records and the Group Reporting System.
  • Research: Investigate and resolve accounting and business issues, implementing new accounting standards as required.
  • Policy Alignment: Ensure the alignment of accounting policies and procedures with group standards.
  • Internal Controls: Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to authority guidelines; participate in the implementation of control initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review processes to ensure best practices are followed and promote automation where beneficial.
  • External Audit Coordination: Assist in coordinating annual independent external audits of financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Derivative Analysis: Analyze and prepare journal entries related to various derivative transactions.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Support other activities as directed by management.

Qualifications:
  • Licenses: CPA required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in corporate accounting, with experience in consolidations, lease accounting, and financial statement preparation (US GAAP and/or IFRS).
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with finance and accounting ERP system implementation, IFRS accounting, and derivative accounting.
  • Industry Background: Experience in Oil & Gas E&P, Petrochemical Production, Manufacturing, or EPC is preferred.
  • Audit Experience: Big 4 Audit/Assurance experience is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: A self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to take initiative on projects.
