Position Overview

The role of a Senior Sales Executive at Southern Champion Tray (SCT) is pivotal in upholding our Core Values and Operating Principles while executing specific responsibilities. These values include:

Primary Responsibilities

This position is accountable for overseeing sales, business development, and high-level relationships with our National and major Key Distributors across the United States. Key responsibilities include:

  • Fostering and expanding key customer relationships at the highest level.
  • Leading a team of Key Account Managers dedicated to Distributor relations.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities within these Distributors to enhance annual sales performance.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Support account managers in education and communication to drive growth in our National and major Key Distributors.
  • Guide the National and Large Key Distributor team to ensure comprehensive relationship management while addressing customer concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest.
  • Represent SCT at national events involving our National and major Key Distributors.
  • Address escalated customer issues and complaints in a manner that aligns with SCT's mission and core values.
  • Manage National Distribution accounts to increase sales volume, achieve growth targets, and meet annual budgeting goals.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a strategic business account plan that aligns with SCT's overall strategy.
  • Lead sales presentations at customer events and industry trade shows to showcase SCT products.
  • Participate in the sales leadership and product development teams, contributing to strategic initiatives related to overall sales strategy.
  • Educate existing and potential customers about our product lines to acquire and grow new business.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Stay updated on product and industry marketing trends.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both external and internal customers.
  • Assist in the creation of contracts and agreements for customers.
  • Prepare and submit plans, reports, and weekly expense reports as required by leadership.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and adherence to SCT's core values in all business interactions.
  • Set a positive example by embodying company culture and values, prioritizing effectively, communicating clearly, and delivering results efficiently.
  • Maintain the company vehicle, if applicable, and communicate any maintenance needs.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: A minimum of five years of sales experience, including three years in a leadership role. Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with customers at all levels are essential. Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making to facilitate sales growth. Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively while paying attention to detail. Independent thinker with a strong initiative to lead and manage projects with minimal supervision. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, along with a willingness to travel. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) is required. A Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is preferred, ideally with sales experience in packaging and/or distribution.
